AtomicDC launched the Garland Chamber of Commerce web site this past week. This makes the second local Chamber of Commerce web site that Atomic has launched with the Allen Chamber and Mesquite Chamber web sites coming within the next month.

The Garland Chamber web site fully integrates the Chamber’s membership management program from Steve Boyle and Associates (SBA). Features of the site include a chamber directory search engine integrated into every page of the site as well as an events calendar and full resource for Garland Businesses.

Atomic implemented a Content Management System (CMS) that Garland staff members will be able to update the site with. Using a fully web-based CMS the Garland staff will be able to add, remove and update pages to their site from anywhere with a connection to the Internet. This was an important feature for development as the chamber must frequently update their site to reflect news and events that are happening both within the chamber as well as the city of Garland.

Atomic also integrated flash banners, a full featured banner advertising program for members, and also coordinated a staff person to take photographs of major Garland landmarks and businesses for use in the web site to bring localized imagery into the web site.

Atomic also currently handles the email newsletter that the Garland chamber sends out weekly to all of their members. This newsletter is delivered to over 1,300 members and prospective contacts. The newsletter is chock full of photographs, recent news and is delivered in both HTML and Text formats that are optimized based upon the users preferences.

“The Garland chamber focuses on excellence with their communication with the members and we are excited to be a part of that communication cycle” states Stephen Brown of AtomicDC. He continues “this is a large project and took quite a bit of planning, design stages, and testing… it took several months for the final project to make its way to the web but I think the final product shows that it was worth the wait.”
